IC Thread

Los Angeles, 2012. Zeta and Juárez Cartel activities in the city have reached a peak in the last few years. If these two giants weren't enough to deal with, separate mafias are forming within the wealthier parts of town. Not to forget the ancient battle between the Crips and the Bloods. The Italian Mafia, the Mexican Mafia, The Crips, the Bloods, Los Zetas, and the Juárez Cartel all fight over control of the drug business in this small area. You are a citizen with no family and no name. Tired of the violence and suffering that you've seen, you decide to take a stand against it.

The game will simulate gang wars city-wide, with different groups holding territories. Each group's power will be determined by the amount of territories that they hold. Each group will have a different set of goals, different skills and weaponry, and will treat the populous differently. The goal, most of the time, would be to put the police in control of the area. From the start of the game, however, the police will hold no real control over the city. Your best option is to fight crime whenever possible in whatever way you see fit.

I will determine when things happen, and the story will generally revolve around the players. Districts will be fought over when I see fit, and players will walk in on operations when I see fit. A district's stability is determined by the amount of success that criminal operations have in the area, so the more operations you disrupt, the higher the stability for the district. Once a district hits +3 stability, the police take over and the criminals are forced out of the district unless they attempt to take it again.

Each district will have it's own stability rating, determining police presence and gang population in the specific area. This game's going to be very deep, and I'm going to have all the mechanics open for others as soon as it's finished.

Totally reserving a spot. Can we work together? I mean if our goal is to bring law it makes sense that we co-ordinate our efforts rather then competing.

Screw it, in.

If you're looking for constructive criticism, why'd you make Climbing it's own skill? What about just using Athletics to cover that + running + jumping + etc.
