I find this rather discriminatory against cops. They can't help that they're born that way.

"Assigned Cop at Birth" is one of the most devastating things I've seen. Can you imagine a doctor having to tell parents that their kid is terrible and always will be?

Pretty damn familiar considering both family and family friends have the job, nevermind everything else. They're absolutely nothing like janitors, and calling the folks they deal with the most society's "shit" is a pretty fucked up sentiment to begin with

Look, related to cops isn't the same as working with cops.

They pretty much, at least in the United States, deal with whatever bullshit people call them to complain about.
Sometimes, they have to show up to fatal car crashes.
Or murder scenes
Or just some guy puking on someone's front lawn.
They ain't perfect. They get a lot of hate because everyone expects them to be perfect.

Look, some truly are on power trips and abuse their authority. But most are just trying to get from the beginning of their work day to the end of their work day like the rest of us.

Blatantly hating cops is the same as blatantly hating any other social group.

I mean… it doesn’t help that the cops in the spotlight tend to be shit at the job, aye?

George Floyd being a good example. There were four of them dealing with one guy, admittedly huge and in a state of distress, but all it would have taken is one of the three not-Chauvin officers to go “hey, maybe there’s a better way of dealing with this?” instead of being wary of the crowd that had gathered because they were in the process of killing a guy.

There’s a difference between blatant hate and a reasonable expectation that they not do things like that.
