They need to off themselves first so you can hit em up in the afterlife. Why should you have to do all the legwork of reaching across dimensional bounds you're paying THEM.

Because Insurance is the art and business of getting paid to do nothing in the vast majority of cases, and trying your very best to get out of doing anything in the few cases where you're obliged to.

Lemonade is used as part of a plot to defeat what is basically a god in this story.

I have concerns about that playing group, and the reliability of the narrator player.  But as a subversive story about a superpowered world, it's very compelling.

It's eerily similar to a segment on This American Life I listened to recently, about Superman.  The narrator is probably Lex Luthor, but I'm not sure...  It's afrofuturist, I think, which doesn't disqualify LL from what I've seen.

All I know is, it pissed off my ex to an extent I haven't seen since we broke up :P  I guess outwardly perfect people idolize Superman.

I figure that most stories about a RP group that demonizes either the GM or a group of players are completely fabricated. They're just normal stories with an added OOC layer for tension or whatever. Or just to shit on furries.

Plenty of stories out there about people being assholes.

Either demonizing/shitting on people is as common a past time as breathing (which, admittedly, is a possibility), or plenty of those stories aren’t exaggerated (again, you could be right, considering things like confirmation bias).

Considering 4chan exist, I find it very hard to discount the former of those.

I have had really, REALLY bad experiences with furry roleplayers in the past. A lot of the stories are clearly lies for internet points with furries being a soft target, but there are some that have an air of truth to them, and that is terrifying.

It is also inevitable.

In the last superhero-themed tabletop I played, my character made fart noises with his mouth anytime the big villain tried to monologue about his plot. We blew him up eventually without ever hearing his motives and by the end he was stuttering he was so pissed about it.

At once point I wasn't in the room but I could see him, so I got on his spaceship intercom and did it.

The GM was highly amused. Good times with The Fwoosh, Speedster Extraordinaire.
