I think towing the tank was my favorite part, but it's hard to say.

The civilian human shield thing was objectively the funniest part. Fight me.

The closest thing Bay12 has to a flamewar is an argument over philosophy that slowly transitioned to an argument about quantum mechanics.

Recursive translations are funny.

This:

"Most bacteria have not been characterised, and only about half of the bacterial phyla have species that can be grown in the laboratory."

After about 50 translations from English into random languages and back to English, turns into:

"Wedding Compass"

I don't know what is a wedding compass.

Eh, Babylon Bee. Too many parody news sites now. BTW I think it would be better to pick 1-2 of the best ones and quote it rather than spam half a dozen links. I read the first one, didn't find it amusing. IDK, but a lot of parody sites don't seem to have a knack for headlines. They're too obvious / hamfisted.

Consider classic ones from The Onion:

"serial killer remembers neighbors as 'quiet and unsuspecting' "
"Ghost of Christmas Future taunts children with images of Playstation 5". (From 2002 btw)
"1975" Onion in history: "Cambodia to switch to skull-based economy"
"1918" Onion in history: "Corpse-eating rats now largest force in Europe".

All of those have a subtext, but they trust the reader to understand the context. Meanwhile, BabylonBee provides:

The Onion Movie review videos are pretty awesome btw. Rogue One review. Contains zero actual information about Rogue One though if your worried about spoilers.

I like to believe that satirical news sites exist as the buffer to prevent aliens from spying on us by feeding them bullshit.

Whats to stop the aliens from getting that info by reading our minds? That exact question is why I always wear my Tinfoil Hat at all times and make sure my entire house is covered in tinfoil, gotta make sure the aliens can't read my mind.

Same reason we don't put animals under brain scan to figure out their behavior and instead creep on them like creepers.

Fun fact: there are ninja in every culture. The Japanese ones are just the worst, and keep getting seen.
