manwithoutabody is brilliant. His dramatic reading of Master of the Universe is the definitive way to experience 50 Shades, to be honest

I had gotten onto reading some of the great Dan Qualye-isms, such as "The future will be better tomorrow" and "It's time for the human race to enter the solar system", and I quoted a few of them at a friend. Than a mutual friend walked in, and having not gotten much of a response from my first friend, I quote "I love California, I practically grew up Phoenix" at friend two (note: both are from the west-coast, but the second friend is very proud of California et. al, and we have an east coast/west coast rivalry going on, so I knew I'd get a rise out of her). Then this exchange happens:
Friend #2: Extended groan. *pause* You know, I've never even been to Arizona. (to friend #1) What do you think of it?
Friend #1: "Well, I don't like Arizona very much. I hate Las Vegas."
Friend #2: "...That's in Nevada!"

That's a great image. I'm actually impressed from an architectural standpoint, it's about as natural as a radio tower can be (including the fake tree ones)
Christnet. The only crosses you will see from here on in will be drawn over the eyes of your loved ones.

Have you ever heard of TempleOS, written in HolyC ?
I refuse to believe that people actually use TempleOS

There's been a bunch of research recently about how stinky Uranus is.

If it was good enough for the spartans, it's good enough for us!

The phrase "cold, hard cash" would make a lot more sense if it were made out of iron.

The irony (ho ho!), of course, being that iron currency would be just as valid as any other in this day and age, neatly bypassing all the social and economic ramifications it had back then.

Not plain iron, of course, or it'd rust/oxidize even worse than pennies I assume.  Probably plated like most modern coins.

> Not sleeping on coins to assert your financial stability

I think the corrosion was kinda part of the package deal, as it discouraged hoarding. I'unno, real or not, Lycurgus was a teensy bit looney.

That's why we should use teef as currency.
