Yes, that I know of.
But all I see in that link is a weird langague (Dutch I think?),
and a confirmation button saying something about accepting cookies. I'm not clicking that.

Oh, it's my newspaper's cartoon. The cookies should be safe, dutch privacy laws are pretty okay, newspaper can only use cookies for its own internal use, not sell your info commercially.

Someone has reconstituted the important videos playlist with reuploads of the inaccessible vids. Now I can finally see where some of the comment injokes came from!

Your use of apostrophes offends me.

If they're telling you there are cookies, that's a good thing. Any site can push cookies without telling you, there's no confirmation required.

Literally any time you are on a site and refresh or go to another page on the site and are logged in, that uses the dreaded cookies so that it knows that you're the same person: web requests are stateless, it's the cookies that give sites the illusion of being "logged in".

I'll also mention exactly what a cookie is, so you can know whether to be scared of having one.

A cookie is a small string of text. It will look like "username=ultimuh;logintime=XYZ". That's it. They don't do anything, and they're not used by your local machine. So having them can't do anything untoward, since they're not actual code or anything.

Whenever you do a page request to the same site, it sends the cookie data along with the page request, if the domain matches one you had a cookie for. Unless you're actually on the site that made the cookie, they don't do anything at all, they're just a small string with your login details, basically so that the site can know that the browser doing this request is the same one that did a previous request, without having to know things like your IP address, and without having to store a record of you on their website.

Basically, most "cookie paranoia" is ridiculous. If sites wanted to "track" you they'd keep a database about you. Most sites don't want to keep a record of every visitor, so they make a cookie on the visitors computer to allow persistence between clicks. Once you leave the site, those sites forget you existed, and you can clear your cookies out now and then, which causes your computer to forget the site, too.
