It's really not that interesting. This whole conversation is just the streisand effect gone wild. It's just a meh story about a dwarf going around killing people and then the player modded in limbs named after genitals and used them to crush people with the wrestling system.
He went further than that. He then recruited a bunch of children (probably why you can't recruit them nowadays) and, once in the wilderness, used to wrestling system to simulate rape. Then posted on the forums, thus the ban and the whole legend.

If people don't want Obok to be talked about ever again they need to stop making references to the whole shitshow.

Honestly I had no idea this was a thing and kinda feel like an idiot for asking for more detail. So... sorry for derailing your happy thread with this crap.

I agree Teneb, clowns are funny!  Sometimes creepy, but the way they defy expectations and conventions still elicits laughter.

(I'm a little scared to see the new IT movie, since I saw the original a little young IMHO.  I'm not scared of clowns, but that was no normal clown.)

Obok's just a cheap shock story, and only even notably tasteless because of the detail.

I love how it goes from '1 week' to '1 century' in a single bound.

You know, clearly the devs wanted a "don't ever fucking remind me" button, but putting the "next century" option in was less work therefore one less chance to mess anything up. It's an example of good engineering. Also in a server environment you probably don't want installed software shutting the machine down until you really tell it to.

That's not the only software I've seen having this option, though I love the way they all gave it such a "screw you, update" vibe.

Daily database updates are critical for antivirus software to function, but updates which require rebooting are soooo aggravating ugh.
I got a good laugh from that image, thanks (:
And it's definitely a joke, not an "ease of coding" thing :P
