See, Trump supporters aren't necessarily at fault here. Party politics and all that.

Trump managed to turn a racist (Mexicans are drug dealing rapists) misogynistic  (Megyn Kelly is unable to impartially moderate a debate because she's on her period) platform into the most fucking popular platform this election cycle.

The VP's only official duty according to the Constitution is to preside over Senate sessions. Theoretically he could have influence on policy decisions from Trump but I don't know how likely that is.

Pence is only a serious worry for LGBT people if Trump gets assassinated (or becomes incapacitated in some other fashion, stroke, disease, heart attack, whatever) and Pence becomes the new replacement POTUS instead.

I think it's still too early to freak out.
