Yesterday, a Thai Chili roll was made for everyone since the day was really slow (but traffic was even slower than that). Of course, it was cut in a few pieces as it usually is served. The results were amusing, however.

In summary
The toughest of the group only lasted a couple slices, and the others fell after 1. Funny enough, I was asking for seconds after finishing the plate. That was actually one of the more tasty sushi rolls I've had.

Hearing the aftermath today made it that much funnier.

Capsaicin is hilariously* inconsistent with its effects. Some get burning pain, some get burning pleasure, some are reduced to writhing masses, some ask for more, some are entirely unaffected. Me? My face goes numb past a certain point of hotness, after which I'm pretty unshaken. Probably sensory overload or something, but it lets me impress people by eating ridiculously hot chilis if I eat more intermediate ones first.

A former boss of mine once got a ghost chilli chocolate bar as a gift, and decided to pass it round the employees one evening. It was most unpleasant serving people in the shop that night.

Then we went out to a bar after work, with colleagues from another store. One of them was quite happy to eat the remainder of it like a regular chocolate bar, the mad bastard.
