I wish you could convince my sister that. She buys into that shit like North Koreans buy the idea that Kim Jong-il could control the weather.

Today a little 4-5 year old boy came up to my counter and chucked two king size candy bars and kitkats, and about $0.75 worth of change up onto it. When I said "I'm sorry kid, I don't think that's enough" he produced two of those double eagle silver commemorative coins as well, which as far as I'm aware aren't legal tender, and another customer agreed. We stalled on that point for a couple minutes while I asked where his parents were, and then his guardian (uncle or family friend. Kid said he wasn't his dad) came in and said something along the lines of "I told you only one small candy bar." (Not angrily, think he kight habe actually been laughing) He provided enough to get the poor kid one of the king size ones, kid looked pretty confused though, as opposed to sad.

In hindsight I might as well have just bought the kid's candy bars for him. Was quite funny though. Kid came in, spotted the first candy bar rack low enough he could reach, and grabbed as much as he could fit in his hands and didn't get why a little change isn't enough, or why what is effectively monopoly money as far as my supervisors would be concerned doesn't help. In his defense, they are really big coins.

Somebody accidentally sent a text to the wrong number and texted their shopping list to a radio station (something with a charity and Muse, idk the details.)

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.
