The dungeon was remarkably sound, I think the mousehole was there on purpose. Given that I think at one point we decided to give up on trying to out-think three riddling heads and hack through the door instead and failed miserably...

And I wouldn't want to be in that pocket hole. We were stripped of all useful items before we were thrown in (complicated story) the dungeon, and the wizard had a hat that gave him a full set of clothes. That pocket hole has intimately seen scrawny wizard genitalia.

The flavour said I'd cast all my prepared 3rd level spells (level five campaign), but I don't know how I survived throwing three fireballs in a twenty square foot room.

oh man, my boyfriend ran a game with a friend of ours who played a crazy wizard that didn't really think his actions through. One of those actions being a delayed blast fireball in the middle of a cramped hallway where the fighting occurred. Nearly killed both him and the other character.

The trick to not being the last one is easy, just be faster than the next slowest person in the party.

I'm going to assume you signed it in the names of your compatriots. Bad idea. Of course, the insurance company would probably need a body for proof so if the dragon incinerates you, nobody gets paid.

wow your game had printing presses and life insurance. Home brew?

I find that I only face adventurers up against dragons if I intend to kill them.

But I prefer to run CoC anyway, and everything will kill you in that game, except in the cases where it just drives you insane.

It's worth noting that in honour of the saying "Every time you use real physics in DnD, a catgirl dies" the campaign is called "Killing Catgirls". I'm the only person without either Honours or a BSc in physics.
