I keep trying to get my dad to start gaming. He just drinks all the time and sleeps when he isn't drinking. Probably partly from depression, but I suspect he has the problem I used to have where he is just massively bored. I killed my pancreas just being ridiculously bored and drinking boredom away when I wasn't unconscious.

I wish I knew what kind of games would interest him that would be easy enough to get him started. He's a Vietnam vet and kind of likes military stuff, but is not overly fixated on it. He likes watching other people game, and remembers mario brothers and guitar hero pretty fondly.

He likes FPS but can't aim so he doesn't play them.

We have both a 2G and a 5G wireless connection in our house. Occasionally I have to switch between them, so I get to see my neighbours' Wifi names. I once saw "Please don't steal our Wifi" as a name.

Yes, Rob Pardo thinks that professional video gaming should be in the Olympics. The thing about *physical* feats. Yes, playing games professionally can be pretty hard, but god's sake, the Olympics are (primarily) PHYSICAL feats. They get rid of the mental ones such as poetry AGES ago!
