lionel? (it *WAS* the 80s after all.. I did not name him.)

Well.. She put zoo grade iron bars around her attached carport garage, and planted honeysuckle under it to cover them, to keep the neighbors from having apoplectic fits every time he was in his enclosure, and just kept him as a pet.  Was actually rather playful, but large cats do not understand how to be gentle.  He tried to be a good kitty, but he became too possessive/demanding of my aunt, so she had to get rid of him several years later.  (He decided one day that he did not like how she left for work every day, and wanted her to stay, so he bumped her over, and then sat on her demanding head scratchies for hours. She decided that was not good behavior from a very large kitty, and got rid of him.)

That sounds like the beginning of a B-grade Dreamworks movie.

It is quite funny, until you start reading the bottom article...

The top article reads like a fluff piece, while the bottom article reads like a plea for help, a release from the hell that he is being subjected to. Every single sentence tells a story of a nation in chaos, a nation just barely holding on and in pure desperation.

I think that's the Onion.  Point-Counterpoint was one of their mainstays (probably still is)

Yeah, that definitely looks satirical. Still funny though.

My mom actually lived in Nigeria for a little while. She doesn't really have any intentions of going back. The first time having a warlord seize your house at gunpoint is plenty enough for most people.

The articles, in fact, use the Onion logo to signify end of text.

Saw this listing for a phone:

They're claiming that this thing has 8GB of storage and 128GB of RAM.
I know most people have sanity checks to swap the numbers, but I just know there's some dickhead out there who's gonna complain when they receive their phone, and it doesn't have 128GB of RAM.

ROM isn't storage, it's Read-Only Memory. While that's probably a misprint, it's still implying that the 8GB isn't something the user can store stuff in.

Also, flash memory is RAM by definition. The whole of the device's storage in fact falls under the definition of RAM (random-access memory).
