No, nothing wrong with calling them cartoons, though much like South Park (which used to be a prime example of a good offensive cartoon, funnily enough) I would probably preface that with "adult" lest some uninformed person think it suitable viewing for the chilluns.   

The infuriating part was you equating "righteously loathing two of the worst animated series/adult cartoons ever to see the light of day" with "not liking cartoons". As for examples of good ones... well, that depends on if you mean cartoons in general, or specifically adult ones? Superjail. Superjaaaaiiil.
