Of all the things that amuse me about SD Gundam G Generation Overworld so far, I think what amuses me most is what appears to be the ability to make an entire giant robot squadron piloted by nothing except different versions of Amuro Ray. You seem to be able to recruit five or six different ones, from different points in the gundam timeline.

... I'm managing to stop myself from doing it, so far, but it's really really tempting.

Spencer?  Spencer, what's wrong!  Are you okay?
Why do you keep screaming?
Edit:  Skipped ahead 2 minutes for the... well.

A video of a tortoise humping a stone garden ornament tortoise popped up on my facebook feed. I've seen them humping things before but it's still funny as hell because of the sounds they make.  :P

Quote
During their investigation, the researchers focused on a gene called sonic hedgehog, which is key in embryonic development, including limb formation. Sonic hedgehog's regulators, located in the ZRS sequence of DNA, had mutated, they found.

The sonic hedgehog gene makes you grow legs.

The sonic hedgehog gene makes you grow legs.

The molecular inhibitor of sonic hedgehog is called robotnikinin

... I don't know who decided to name that, nor who decided to let them get away with it and make it official, but they collectively did a wonderful thing regardless.

Isn't there also a Sonic the Hedgehog protein that may have a link to some illnesses on the autism spectrum?

It's really not that wonderful, since if it ends up not being correct in some way, it's kind of... fatal for the person with the problem, and then the doctor has to tell the parents that sonic hedgehog killed their child....

On a  somewhat more lighthearted note, someone tried to name a cancer causing gene Pokemon, and the pokemon company said no quite quickly when they found out

There's also a protein in the eyes called Pikachurin

Well clearly.  It should be called Pokérus, not Pokémon.
