Don't know what got me so good with this comic, but it had me literally laughing aloud this morning:

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Watching Ancient Aliens with my mother.
Best comedy show the History channel has run in years. The best ones are the ones with Nazis and famous scientists.

I also love how bad they are at quote mining. If anybody shows up who doesn't have "crypto-", "pseudo-", "alien-" or the like in their job title, if you pay close attention to what they say you can almost see the pickaxes.

I didn't believe all the jokes about the History channel until I saw it for myself.

History channel is actually pretty good between the conspiracy nutjobs. And even then, the conspiracy nutjobs are too entertaining to call it bad.

It intersects wonderfully with my interests in history and laughing at stupid people.

Nah, it's just history. You know what they say: "Those who do not watch the history channel are doomed to not give a shit about storage wars."

In all actuality though their WWII stuff is the bees knees and is bloody fantastic.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

From A Beautiful Mind

Nash is told he has a class to teach at a college
Nash: Can't I get a note from a doctor? (To get out of it)
Sol/Bender (can't remember which): First of all, you are a Doctor. Second of all, no.

Nash was a Doctor of Economics, I believe. Something maths related
