Why do the tumblr screencaps always include the final idiotic "LOL REBLOG" comment? Wouldn't it be easier to crop it out? Is it because the people who capture the images are the same people who make those comments, presumably desiring to make themselves E-famous?

Sites like reddit, tumblr or twitter often make people want visible signs of approval (likes, retweets, reblogs, upvotes) and including the LOL REBLOG lines encourages people to do so, since they won't be the first I guess. I think there's a name for that.

Came out into the kitchen the other morning, discovered a gruesome massacre of instant noodle packets, their mutilated bodies piled up beside the stove along with chunks of noodle cake, smears of various seasonings and several pairs of scissors (I later learned they cooked several packets at once, and then used the scissors in a messy attempt to cut the noodles into even shares).
I couldn't help but laugh. A bit of humour was just what I needed as I trudged out the door to head to work.
