Rip, tear, murder, refuse to buy their bullshit yet again!

I'll still play BF 2. Still best.

Battlefront 3 launched with 4 maps. For $60. More maps in the future will cost another $50.

All those fools who expected EA to not be EA, dohohohoho!
Thats not even a third of the maps Battlefront 2 had, isn't it. You could get a ps2 w/ controllers and the game for as much as the YASEAG.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I'm given to understand that the BFIII maps are pretty thoroughly linear, at least.

Also, DICE totally screwed the pooch when they turned heroes (and vehicles) into pickups, since you basically end up with the same handful of assholes in every match camping the spawns and nobody else ever gets to use them.

BFIII is not the sort of game where you'd get something like the Hero-only mode in Mos Eisley from BFII.

I think what the BF3 team failed to understand is that BF2 wasn't the highest quality shooter around, and that's not why people loved it anyway.  Why people loved it was variety and the ability to act out many of the battles from Star Wars.

Like, you can have your battlefield style land battle on Hoth, then go and have a battle in space, then go to Mos Eisley and have Darth Vader and Yoda fight to the death.  And even within those modes there were several types of gameplay.  Oh, and the maps not only brought you all over the Star Wars universe, they were pretty radically different from each other.  It was the best kind of casual game, although it could be played more seriously if you wanted to (hence, variety).

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

I think the devs would have been smart enough to realise that, they were just hampered by meddling executives.

I sincerely doubt that--there's a lot of things below the level of executive concern that indicate that DICE didn't really get it. See: Pickups, lightsaber heroes getting infinite free reflection kills, grenades exactly like Battlefield/COD/other brown shooter, starfighters!--but only as a shitty component of land battles, little apparent class variety, same-y weapons, &c.

People called way back that it was going to be Battlefield [number] with a Star Wars skin on top, and they were right.

Yeah, it's nowhere near as deep or interesting as Battlefield.
