It's one of those things that sounds silly until you realize it makes perfect sense.

That's on the Japan-only release of the game. Think about who is meant to see the warning. Not Japanese people. The warning is for anyone who is not Japanese but purchased that version.

Alternatively, the warning could indeed be in Japanese. So anyone who can read it (Japanese people) can safely ignore it, and anyone who needs to see the warning won't know what it says ...

Some tourists with exceptionally poorly-behaved children came through drive thru today, as well as an arguing couple. When I opened the window for the latter, the first thing I heard was "I WISH YOU WOULD QUIT FUCKING LYING TO ME". I had to try very hard not to snicker. Call me cruel or morbid, but it's hilarious in the way that human misery is sometimes hilarious when it's presented on a show like Springer or similar. I've been on kind of a bad kick lately, so I guess I'm more susceptible to that sort of chuckle.
