I fucking hate the UK house of whatevers. Completely unbearable mate :P
The house of commons - neither a house, nor a commons

I just think politics should be debated calmly and with people listening to you, not trying to shout and boo the other party down :P

I'm a bit conflicted on this point, honestly.

On the one hand, stuff like the UKpol house bickering is a bunch of chaotic, unhelpful boors shouting at each other like enraged toddlers.

On the other hand, the USpol stuff ends up seeming even more insidious, because they're trying to pretend that they're not the bunch of enraged toddlers that they are.

When politics becomes so boring the people can't be fucked to observe it, the bureacrats come out the woodwork with all the boring ways to make life worse cos they know no one's going to listen to three hours of article 3 subsection 2 clause 4 pertaining to the eradication of homeless people

You say that but I'm fairly certain your country is more like that than mine, and I think all the hooting and shouting makes people less likely to listen to your house debates than to my Riksdag debates too

This is one of the greatest problems of our age. Those who shout the loudest bullshit get heard, those who try to remain polite and calm are roared down. Far more dangerous than Covid.

If 200 years of British politics is anything to go by, being polite and calm is no obstacle to dangerous bullshit

I found out there are plenty others chicken thoughts like that in social media, and some are very funny. Thank you Caz! :)

One of my lecturers uses little puzzles to check for attendance. This time, it's a crossword puzzle. I've discovered a pretty good oversight in it: refreshing the page does not set your stats back to zero. You can solve the thing over and over, getting higher and higher scores. So I did.

Also, the hell is a negative amount of incorrect answers supposed to mean? Is that correct answers, or does it live in some bullshit dimension where scalars can take negative values? It did that after I broke it, but I got 9/10 right each time. I did it 5 times, but now the total equals 90? I think the arithmetic machine broke.

Presumably, they don't actually track the number of wrong answers, only the number of correct answers. When it comes time to display the number of wrong answers, it's 10 - [number of correct answers].

Was she dressed like a witch? In Sweden children go door to door asking for candy dressed as witches on Pink Thursday.
