Another friendly reminder: if you're not going to disable your camera, make sure it's pointed above the waist.

Never heard of it

Does it involve making the same jokes in every episode and killing innocent sims?

Because that's what I'm about

It's good to see Grey fever* has fully infected Bay12, I recall posting some old videos of his a while back and barely getting a peep out of anyone here.

EDIT: and I just realized Grey Fever sounds like a really sketchy interest in the aged ladies.

Well this is a popcorn moment. Upper middle class white feminists are all upset about the Karen meme, even equating it to the N-word: but for well-off white women who drive SUVs instead of black people. Feminist women of color bitch-slap them in return telling them to get over it:

https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2020/apr/13/the-karen-meme-is-everywhere-and-it-has-become-mired-in-sexism

EDIT: I think the best bit in all this is where the second writer points out that she complained about the Karen thing online and some guy said to her:

Quote
Ok, Karen

And she went more or less "see, see? The misogynists are everywhere!" whereas it's completely clear that that was just someone echoing "ok boomer" which I'm sure she doesn't have a problem with.

Youtube remembers what Ive watched years ago, and it has recommended me it.  I wonder if it was a random suggestion, or if the algorithm is actually doing a facebook and searching my history?

It's probably just coincidentally come back around to that based on other things you've watched.

I did an experiment with only watching cute animals videos to see how long before the Youtube algorithm filled my entire front page and recommendations with nothing but that, and it didn't take long (< 2 hours) for Youtube to be wall-to-wall furry animal videos for me, and to totally forget anything about tech, gaming or politics. You have to watch one thing and also tell it in the recommendations you're not interested in the other suggestions. It gets the hint pretty fast. Then I retrained it not to show me any more furry animal videos and it's never suggested them again.

It's the latter.  It does that a lot for me - particularly when I rewatch a lot of things (go on a music binge).
"Ah, Rolan is rewatching things - surely they'll appreciate this political tirade they liked and subscribed"
And while it's sometimes welcome in the morning, it's usually not the rockin beats I'm actually interested in.

It seems a lot like that. Every so often I go through an eighties music binge an listen to some song from a fairly specidic set of songs. It immediately shows me other songs from that set that I've listened to in sequence when I was in those modes before.

I hardly ever get those songs recommended to me when I'm watching other things on YouTube like that graystillplays dude or critical role or other dnd stuff
