Let's Play Superpower 2Welcome to another Let's Play by me, your resident expert in not finishing Let's Plays! This time I'll be playing Superpower 2, a geopolitical simulator, as directed by you, the forum-goers.
What is Superpower 2?Superpower 2 is a geopolitical simulator, and sort of a spiritual successor to Shadow President. Shadow President was a MS-DOS game in which you could only control America in the twilight of the Cold War. Angel of Death already LPed that one. Superpower 2, however, starts in 2001, and allows you to control any of the 193 nations recognized by the U.N. at the time of release in 2004. The nuclear exchanges are also much more satisfying, with actual animation of missiles and flight paths, along with the possibility for ABMs. It's...interesting, to say the least. Most of its play value comes from the ridiculous what-if scenarios you can engineer. And that's where you come in.
How to PlayI'll be taking suggestions and putting them to a vote. Want to play as South Africa? Suggest it! Want to launch a preemptive nuclear strike on Seoul? Put it up for consideration! Have a burning desire to invade Norway (set to the heaviest metal imaginable)? Just drop a reply! Once I have enough, probably between 3-5 options, I'll start the poll. Whichever wins, gets enacted. Then you get to watch your wildest, most sociopathic dreams come true on a global scale. I'll handle most of the internal politics, unless you really care about voting on economic resolutions. If you do, just suggest it. So. First question, down below.
Who do we want to play as?
