Sorry having left my plans I forget I hadn't voted. I am fine with you doing another turn.

Diary of Neblime Zangethad 2nd Hematite 102
A legal conundrum has presented itself
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Kalkor's labourer gave birth to a boy, since the mother in question is kalkor's sworn servant, does this extend to her progeny?  I do not know.
Meanwhile, rigor dug deep in search of magma
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
praist mothdast! He instead struck adamantine. and quite a lot of it (at least 4 layers visible in the caverns)
We are unsure if we should mine  any or not, I have heard tale of what happens to dwarves who mine the blue gold too greedily
Rigor continued on undaunted and shortly did find the magma sea
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

One of Kalkor's daughters was possesed by unknown forces and rudely claimed keroe's workshop. gathering a few raw materials she set to work, but was soon interrupted
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I thought she was about to be swooped up into a bag and that would be the last we saw of her, but luckily the goblin instead attempted to stab her arm, it's crude copper dagger failing against her thin cloth sleeves.  The brave peasant militia promptly ran out and scared it off (unfortunately didn't land a hit) and she was allowed to finish her work.
Spoiler:  value 6000 (click to show/hide)
Although the red pyrope weapon rack made earlier far surpasses this mug in value, kalkor must be pleased to have two items of such quality to his name!
Spoiler: status (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: OOC (click to show/hide)

Hmmm.  Place it in the upper left corner of The second room.

Could I hire anyone to smooth it for me?

EDIT: I'm a lucky bastard.

I can smooth, but what I want is labor. I would like to work on setting up an area for a magma kiln by the magma sea. So what I need is at least the ability to build floors, walls, and a kiln.

Apologies again for my lack of activity, as of tomorrow we will proceed apace
sal you already have a non magma kiln, you can make a magma one if you like,  i would remind you you may usurp up to 50k worth of stone (more than you need i hope) from the govt or a player you have more influence than for 1 influence

I say we will proceed apace, but of course that is a slow and bureaucratic pace  ;D
Hematite 102 meeting
We must vote whether kalkor's serf's child is bound to kalkor in service or not.  I for one vote yes.  Commitment to one's master is something that lasts between generations!
Also We need a proper underground dining room (anyone making one would get influence)

Yes and go ahead with the dinner. I have mining not sure about a pickaxe though, but if I have access I'll work on the dining room.

Diary of Neblime Zangethad 1 Limestone 102
Almost one of the most boring seasons I have spent in stilltools.
Except for a brief tragedy
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
in response to the increased goblin threat some pigs have been posted on chains to act as a warning system
Rigor's magma kiln was finally completed:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
a wave of useless moochers arrived later.
Among them, 2 fisherdwarves, 1 hunter, 4 children and 1 farmer

Meeting for summer 102
Our booze situation has greatly improved after the establishment of several stills above ground.  We still however face the problem of overcrowding, especially in the dining room.  Also another snatcher indicates the goblins can only be more aware of our presence, perhaps a wall around our entire settlement with a narrow gate would allow us to more easily detect them?  Or anyone who is willing to patrol the area 24/7?
