[Advtr Mode] Being the Bandit!
« on: June 30, 2014, 03:51:08 pm »

Wouldn't it be cool if you could be a bandit in Adventure mode? Raiding, stealing, killing, and harassing your way into a bandit leader? Some features that could be included:

  • Raiding of towns and villages. Bigger the town, the more resistance.
  • Small groups organized to go on mugging trips.
  • Fight against other bandit groups to become the strongest in the realm
  • Be the leader, or the grunt; up to you!

This is definitely planned, along with other the "roles" (the hero, the thief, etc.). IIRC, Toady said all these things require a better justice system, so we will probably see a playable bandit role once that gets an overhaul.

I understand that it is disappointing when a dwarf makes a spiked loincloth instead of an axe.

Don't most people already technically become bandits by murdering entire towns multiple times over?

Demanded a farmer give me his gold, he refused, I stabbed him in the throat and asked again. He was much more cooperative.
