Apart from what's in your inventory? Well, I don't think large amount of cash makes sense, but if you want to decide your character got his grandfather's gold watch on him or something, you can.

((Hmmm. I'll go with no cash and valuables then.))

 - No. We have no less than two flasks of vodka, that's something.

"Perfect. Still, now that I think about it, my plan actually works as a Plan Be better. Let's go with the land vehicle plan."

Go with the land vehicle plan.

((By the way, we really don't need to worry about the pilot 'ordering' us to gun for Unlucky Ivan; he has zero authority over soldiers in other branches.))

We keep observing. If our comrade is dead, there is nothing we can do for him - if he is not, rushing in now would destroy his chances of making it out alive.

I'm going to do the smart thing here and disengage. This isn't a hill I paticularly care to die on.

What's the land vehicle plan?

Um, find one, for starters, I would presume? I think he means that he follows me while I'm doing this:

- That's just no good. Eyes are upon us now. We cannot afford to meddle around anymore, or NKVD will be after us. Come on, let us find a land vehicle.

Cross the airfield, walk on the very fringe of soviet camp, looking for a jeep or horses or something.

Kursk

Leaving the planes behind, you set out looking for a ground vehicle. A large number of Lend-Lease trucks are ferrying supplies all across the air base, you could probably try to steal one.

[5] A number of them are sitting in a motor pool behind one of the hangar, along with a couple of jeeps.

 - We should've probably gone straight to this place.

Dandy. Go appropriate the nearest vehicle and head out.

Follow along.

"Perhaps. The plane would have been faster, though. Er, do you know how to drive one of these things? Because I don't."

If anyone notices us, bribe them with vodka.

 - Learned to, before the war. Did that for a living for a while.

Kursk
You go to the motor pool. [4] One of the Jeep has its keys on the ignition. Soon the two of you are on your merry way out of the base. Your fuel tank is only half-full, but should just get you to Volchank if you decide to go that way.

Volchansk

After a long and uneventful ride, you arrive at Volchank as the sun rises. Somewhere beyond the enemy lines, your comrades-in-arms awaits you.
