So this is an RtD based on some rambling that happened in the science thread. I'll let 4-5 players in. Not sure what exactly the tone will be either silly or grim-"war is hell" type depending on what you want. The text below is written by the Propaganda dept. so it's quite cheery.
You Are Soviet Nuclear Cavalry Moscow, 1942The Father of Nations, in between personally ripping off the heart of the fascists invaders, making sure the war orphans have an happy childhood and growing the world's most socialist mustache, took a decision that would change the course of history. Under the command of Comrade Sergarrski was founded the Moscow Mechanical Institute, that would soon gain fame as the
National Research Nuclear University (NRNU, МИФИ). It's mission, in the Gardener of Human Happiness' words: To Tame the Horse of Nuclear Energy to Serve the People's Purpose.
The Great Architect of Communism's own wrist served as model for the logo Sadly, comrade Sergarrski's understanding of metaphors was in inverse proportion to his scientific genius. Taking the finest Cossack breed and the purest Siberian uranium, working tirelessy for weeks on hands, sustained only by the will to serve the People and inspired by the Coryphaeus of Science, Sergarrski created the Stalin breed, the world's first nuclear horses. Sadly, many of them had a tendency to spontaneously explode, and only a handful were stable.
March 1943, near StalingradAfter months and months of fighting, you and your comrades broke the Nazis at Stalingrad, city of heroes. You suffered from lack of food, lack of sleep, lack of ammunition and lack of living comrades, but the Great Genius of Humanity made sure you never lacked courage, motivation or devotion to the Party or the Motherland.
Now, after a month of rest, your unit is set to go back to the front. However, before leaving, a great news was announced. You have been declare volunteer for the 1st Nuclear Cavalry Squadron. What your mission will be exactly, you will only know
once the GM actually has an idea after signing up, but you're one just form away from glory.

1) Ranged Combat
Each range weapon has three stats. A burst size, a precision modifier and a damage roll. When fired, as many dices as the burst size are thrown. For each of them that roll at 4 or more on a d6 (including the precision bonus), a damage roll is rolled. In a firefight, whatever weapon fire first is determined by the GM (in close quarter, a handgun will be drawn faster than a rifle for example).
2) CQC Combat
When fighting with close-quarter weapons, you roll a d6 against your opponent. If you best him or her, you inflict your CQC weapon's damage. Bare hands do 1d4 damage. If you attack your opponent from behind or otherwise attack him hen he can't defend, you don't need to do the opposition roll.
2.1) Stun
Instead of inflicting damage, you can try to stun him. Instead of inflicting damage, your roll a d6. On a 4 or 5, you stun him for a turn. On a 6, he lose consciousness.
