Day Two: The Voyage Starts

After about a day, Oleg spots some tall... mountains, jutting out of the sea, a little way to the east. They are surrounded by wrecked ships... but the weather is calm today. They look like they're screaming adventure! High peaks! Dangerous cliffs! All in all, a great opportunity to almost kill yourself and have fun doing it.

Head to them?

"Ooh! Those look fun!" Ness says, apparently unconcerned by the sea sickness and discomfort of ship-bound travel and sleeping that might affect everyone else. She was wearing relatively little, to help combat the weather, and the chain shirt was stowed safely in her cabin. Her drums were attached to their sling around her torso, as always.

"Yeah. Fun. Let's do that." Sacha said while rolling her eyes.

"Fun awaits?" Beolas asks with a glint in his eye.

Darwyn raised an eyebrow and gave the three a strange "what the devil are you thinking?" look, before turning back to the strange landmass.
Spot check! Examine the island, attempt to find a safe passage through the wreckage, find a safe place to drop anchor, etc.

[Nerjin]

"You know... Gig, you wouldn't happen to know a spell that lets you survive a very high fall would you? The peak of that mountain looks like it could be sorta dangerous getting to."

[Tawa]

Darwyn: You could never spot a way through from here. You must be a mile or so away.

[Sirus]

Darwyn crossed his arms and spoke out loud.
"I'd like to state for the record that I think going over there seems like a dangerous and bad idea."
His eyes never left the island as he continued to concentrate.

[Nerjin]

"And I'd like to state that we are supposed to map things out. For the sake of your grandfather. We need at least a cursory view of the island right? See if it's safe or not. Or would you prefer we just go back so you can piss on his dreams directly?"

[Flying Dice]

"That's enough, Sacha," Beolas grumbles.

[Sirus]

Darwyn kept the anger out of his voice. Barely.

"We've had this boat a single day. There are the wrecks of dozens of boats over there, many of them probably crewed by people with far more experience than us. There's no reason to risk certain death tackling something we aren't prepared for when we can mark it's location on the chart and come back once we aren't so wet behind the ears. My grandfather's dream will never be realized if we throw our lives away by acting recklessly."

[Nerjin]

"Alright. I guess we won't we won't go that way. We can always come back when you fellows decide to have a sense of adventure."
