"Like me without my friends?" Sacha seems to be considering the notion. It's rather obvious that the thought had never occured to her. She slowly turns her gaze towards Ayleth as though pondering a strange creature she had never seen. "Like me without all of you... Then we'd best kill her now. If I didn't have all of you I wouldn't think twice about murdering the group at sea to take their possessions. Our possessions are now rather profitable, if one were to sell them. I don't trust her and you don't trust her. Beolas could easily be convinced to assist us as soon as we mention that she's evil, whether or not it's true. Darwyn... Well Darwyn might be hard to convince but if the three of us try to get him on board it shouldn't be difficult. At the very least he won't act against us. As for Oleg... Well I think he's having one of his episodes so once he snaps out of it the deed will be done and he won't need to be any the wiser."

[Tawa]

"A light one will do. And at least twenty bolts."

"Aye. I'll have one for ye by tomorrow morn'."

"There is, actually, something else you could get us if you'd be willing. Specifically, materials with which to scribe scrolls for my companions."

"Hmm... a fair trade. I'll have these so-called 'alchemists' -- I swear they just spend all day smoking rat weed, but I cannot prove it -- scrounge up some for ye tomorrow."
THE NEXT MORNING
After a warm welcome in a private dormitory room last night, you all find yourself at the docks the following morning. Oleg is absent; you remember him speaking with the mayor about spending some time commandeering the local militia. Something about "not having his sea legs yet." In any case, the mayor approaches with a rough sack that seems to contain some bulky items.

"Ah, the warriors! Yer tall friend said 'e'd cover the costs fer ya. Pretty kind fellow. Anyway, I have yer crossbow," the mayor says, handing Ayleth a crossbow and some bolts. He tuns to Sacha. "'n fer ye, I have 'bout thirty-eight gold pieces' worth of stuff the alchemists claim is 'genuine scroll-scribing material'." The mayor hands Sacha a pouch full of various odd magical accoutrements.

[Nerjin]

"Thank you very much for your kindness. But we'd best get going. We have a lot of ocean to cover and not much time to do so before Darwyn keels over." Sacha said with a smile. A patently false smile to any who knew her, but real enough to fool anyone who wasn't looking for deception.

[Silthuri]

"You have my thanks." Ayleth says as she takes the items.

[Sirus]

Darwyn guffawed at the cleric's remark. He was off to the side and couldn't see Sacha's face.

"I still have plenty of years in me yet, Sacha. You'll have to put up with me for at least a little while longer."

He turned to the dwarven mayor. "I'm glad we were able to help with your spider problem. We'll probably visit again one day."

[Nerjin]

"We have to. Oleg is here... Then again so is Gig so..." with a shrug Sacha set about examining her new materials.

[Rolepgeek]

"Oh, be nice, Sacha. You get annoyed too easy."

Ness was playing around with her short sword, which typically would have been a terrifically awful idea. But...she seemed okay with it. Better than she used to be, that's for sure.

[Flying Dice]

"Aye, farewell," Beolas waves to the dwarf with a friendly smile.

"Say, Ness, I didnae know ye could handle a sword!"

[Rolepgeek]

She smiled, not quite blushing; Ness didn't seem to get embarassed much, not really. She was too open for that.

"My Da taught me. It's just never really come up, I think. But I feel more comfortable with it now, not sure why. It feels...I don't know. Right."

[Silthuri]

Ayleth watches Ness curiously as she fastens the quiver of bolts to her belt. She pulls her hood over her face to hide from the sun.

[Flying Dice]

Beolas claps a callused hand on Ness' shoulder, his smile broadening, Good on ye, lass! Mayhap we can spar a bit -- with sticks, o' course?"

[Nerjin]

"If you'll excuse me, I have several things to attend to on the ship. I'll be waiting for you all when you're ready."

Return to ship. Attempt to scribe two scrolls of "Cure Light Wounds" at caster level 1, for 1xp each.

[Silthuri]

"If no one objects, I will take my leave as well." Ayleth leaves the group and enters the ship. She finds a place to sit and becomes lost in her own thoughts.

[Sirus]

"I must take my leave as well. Please watch over Gig and Oleg for me."

Get on board, prepare to set sail!

[Flying Dice]

"Aye, past time to be gone."

All aboard that's going aboard.
