"We haven't found anything so far. And in all likelihood anything down here is owned by the dwarves."

"Any 'loot' we find down her belongs to the dwarves Oleg. We shouldn't take it. Even if they do owe us for the spiders and even if they are total bastards... Maybe just a bit. We'll call it a service charge. Wouldn't think you'd be too eager to take something from someone though."

Oleg smiles.
Aye, I meant that totally inexplicable dungeon loot you find lyin' around sometimes. Mana potions. Ancient artifacts. You know, helpful stuff you don't know how it got dere.
Oleg twiddles his thumbs, suddenly embarrassed.
In dem books Henne gave me ta read, ta learn Common, adventurers always find dis stuff jus' lyin around.

[Nerjin]

With a small smile Sacha says "And they absolutely do. Just like we'll find aye?"

[Flying Dice]

"But... the dwarves own this mine, and there's no other people living here, so anything manufurc-- manufecte--," Beolas growls slightly, "hand-made would belong to them, would it not?"

[Nerjin]

"... Well yes. I'm not saying we should take everything. But if something won't be missed what's the harm?"

[Flying Dice]

"It's wrong."

[Rolepgeek]

"How do we know what won't be missed? Just ask the dwarves for compensation or somethin' if you really want to get some loot out of it. Bring the stuff back to them, maybe they give us a reward; we did kill this spider-thing and whatnot after all."

She seems to think for a minute.

"Buuuuut...if we find anything more natural, say, like, uncut gems, or spider silk? I think we can grab that just fine."

Since Ness had always been voraciously interested in adventuring, the idea of loot makes her eyes sparkle.

[Silthuri]

"Clever lass. Although I highly doubt a few small items here and there would be missed."

[Sirus]

"I'm guessing that anything of value would, in fact, be missed. Surely I can't have been the only one to hear the stories about dwarven bookkeepers? They can keep track of individual chunks of ore, or so the legends go."

[Nerjin]

"Oh fine. Can we just go deeper? I'd like to get through with this little excursion, get paid, and get off this damned island."

[Sirus]

"Agreed. Let's keep moving."

[Avis-Mergulus]

Alright. All this loot talk is unbefitting. Oleg gives everybody a stern glower, then remembers that he started it and cracks a grin. Time to go on.

[Nerjin]

"You know... I'm starting to wonder why we're doing this. The mayor wasn't exactly kind when I brought up the issue of payment. Not exactly a lot of adventure to be had either. All of us ganging up on a single giant spider at a time doesn't exactly make for a good story. Bah... This whole expidition seems to be worthless."

You may have a point...But then, the mayor is a mean creature. Perhaps he will become less mean when we return. Ee'd better, I think, given your disposition. As fer fighting the spiders one at a time, I guess we could make a lot of noise? An' maybe they'll hear us and come attack us all at once then?
