I know. That roll was still too terrible.

Of course, you don't need to roll a 20 to know that cave bears live in caves or anything.

But...but...that's just so obscure!

I thought they lived in Cave, the highly agricultural plains country populated primarily by Halflings and their lovable bear companions!

Obviously it's just a single word.

Cavebear. Pronounced Sah-vey-bee-ah. The R is silent.

And they are quite clearly a species of giant worm that flies.

Nat 1s on knowledge checks ought to give you false info.

Ugh, zombie. Resistant to arrows! It negates literally all I'm good for!

I wonder if the GM's trying to tell me something...

Yeah... Maybe.

I know there's some stuff in splatbooks I should have dipped into-I think the Serpentstounge arrows in ROTW are both slashing and piercing. Probably some blunted arrows too...of course, we're not even sure what it really is. Think it's a zombie. Tons of HP. Need slashing damage. Smack it with my halberd next turn. I took all those AC flaws to make me better at archery though.

Life sucks. :P

Nonono, you just got terrible rolls.

Did I actually hit it, though? It's a bit important to know the diff between 'You hit it, but barely, GG lucky scrub', and 'you hit it, but you're not doing anything, surrender at 20 noob'. Unless it really doesn't matter, like you assume the battle will be over soon.

Maybe add something like, "Your puny arrows strike true, but glance off it's viscous hide with a hideous squelch! It's obviously immune to arrow fire!" or "Your aim is poor-your arrows barely connect and only seem to piece it's hoary, scrofulous hide, to minimal effect!"

I dunno, ignore me, I think I'm just being weird.

I... I don't think that's how arrows work... ALSO I would enjoy seeing rolls. Just sayin'.

I... I don't think that's how arrows work...

There really are blunt tipped arrows, they're used to hunt birds. They don't have very good range.

Serpentine arrows are supposed to be something like I think.

Historically, very effective against zombies.

Dear Tawa:

Could you please put the parties health next to their names on the initiative count? It'd make it a bit easier for healers to know what to do without having to open sixteen sheets.

         Sincerely

Sweet. Also, while you're doing that, could you place some indication as to whose turn it is?
