Can you quote the relevant rule for that? Not being able to use those bonus spells makes little sense to me.

You can't cast spells of that level yet at all. Otherwise people starting with 22 in their casting stat, not that hard to do, would be casting 6th level spells at level 1.

Well, you can trust common sense in that you wouldn't be able to do the type of thing Harbinger just brought up, or I can dig through my Handbook to find the exact rules quote and point it out to you.

EDIT: Ah here we are.

"(She will not actually get the bonus 2nd-level spell until she is a 3rd level wizard, since that's the minimum level a wizard must be to cast 2nd-level spells.)"

Players Handbook v3.5, page 8, first paragraph.

Considering the stories I've heard of D&D, as well as other games, being broken in half through creative rule interpretation (half dragon, half Golem, half vampires who are also elementals anyone?) that isn't exactly what I asked for. So yes, I would like a quote or a ruling from the DM.

As far as I know, you can use those bonus spells for spells you can cast, though. So if you have a bonus level 2 but your caster level is one you can cast an extra cure light wounds, for example.

This sounds the most legit. Go with this.

I think allowing 7th level spells on a 1st level +0LA race Wis Caster is... well.

(half dragon, half Golem, half vampires who are also elementals anyone?)
Vampire dragons are a thing. Breed that (probably shapeshifted) with an elemental/elemental creature, and then add some golem parts to the creature (half-golem is not a "one of your parents was a golem" template, it's a "a (usually evil) spellcaster carried out horrific magical experiments replacing parts of your body with animated stone/steel/whatever" template), and you have an entirely reasonable explanation for the creature, and the resulting creature would hardly be particularly mechanically effective (or, given how Half Golem works, even likely to be PC useable).

Mmmmm...are you sure? Because that would kinda mean I get 3 bonus 0 level spells per day, even though having high ability scores doesn't give you bonus 0-level spells. Just saying, you get more bonus spells for low-level spells from having even higher ability scores(20 gives 2 bonus 1st level and so on), not just being unable to cast those spell levels yet.

Don't get me wrong, if we're houseruling that, that's cool and all because I benefit quite a bit from it for a long while, since I won't be getting 2nd level or 3rd level spells for a while, just wanting to make sure.

Speaking of which, Mystic Theurge Favored Soul/Sorceror. Because single casting stat+huge amounts of spell slots is hilarious.

+0 Initiative for me. Are you doing the Kobolds per turn? Like: Kob 1, Sacha, Kob 2, Beolas, Gig, Kob 3, etc. etc.? Seems bulky for a forum game. Wouldn't having it be like: Beolas, [Monsters], Sacha, Gig, Darwyn, Ness, blah blah blah blah blah be more easily handled?

Per turn is the only way.

Also, Beolas would be going last, not first.

+4 Darwyn
+5 Gig
+2 Oleg
+8 Beolas
+0 Sacha
+2 Ness

Also: Wouldn't O work better for an Orc? Or at least a C because it's half an O?

Also, won't all the Kobolds move first?

I was trying to say that... I fail at speak apparently... ANYWAYS...

I hope combat goes a bit quicker than non-combat did. Should, since everyone's here.

Anyway, it's Ness' turn.

Edit: I mention because I'm not sure if RPG saw the edited post.
