Hm... I may have to consider gaining access to these weapons at some point. last question: Bastard Swords count as a martial weapon if you use them two handed right?

I think, but Martial Weapon Proficiency can only be used on one weapon at a time. You're better off taking Exotic if you want a bastard.

Masterwork ones are katanas.

Maybe. I have a request: Could you drop that whole Masterwork thing? The Bastard Sword should be able to be masterwork without being a katana. They are two different builds of blade.

Also, a katana can be just normal quality.

I didn't say that all of them were.

Nor did I say that they had to be masterwork to be a katana.

I oughta stay off of 1d4chan

It's actually in the book and just rubs me the wrong way. Katana Cultists and stuff yo. Good weapon. Not up to the hype...

BUT that's just me being bitter.

Should... Would multi-classing for this be petty?

No, Nerjin.

All katanas are masterwork bastard swords(which is stupid, considering katanas aren't actually all that long and are more analogous to scimitars or maybe a slashing rapier), but not all masterwork bastard swords are katanas.

Also, don't be mean to them for multi-classing. Let everyone have a favored class of 'any', and don't count prestige classes against it. That's my suggestion.
Multi-classing would not be petty. Go For Fighter, you get a bonus feat.

Agreed. I would just call it a Longsword sorta thing but... Yeah.

I am a human and don't plan to Prestige so... I suppose it's not an issue for me.

Editeted. I mistook the thread we're in.

Also, you should totally prestige.

Prestiging is awesome, yo.

I was actually considering going for a... Barbarian... but I don't want to step on any toes with the rage thing. Maybe being a Fighter would be the best idea...

You're lawful, so that would be difficult.

And it's not rage that pisses people off, it's frenzy.

Ah yes. forgot about that. Hm... Yes... Maybe fighter next level... Or a few levels from now. Not sure which.

I think once I find a sword I'll multi-class on the next level.

You might want to hold off on multiclassing for a bit, before you're out of room for my silly upcoming prestige classes.

Also do you guys think a muscle wizard would be more of an arcane spellcaster or a martial class

. . . a muscle wizard . . .

. . . wizard . . .

... I think this decision has been made for me.

No, not OP wizards.

The FF1 kind that don't have that kind of spell that lets them win every encounter every time.

Speaking of which, I'm probably going to homebrew some wizard fixes before you guys become/meet them.

Simple way, Tawarochir: actually make it difficult to learn specific spells.

Also, caster level checks to cast spells. DC of 4*spell level. You can take 10 if you aren't threatened or anything.

Ritual magic suddenly becomes useful...

Eh, just some similar system to make people have to worry about failure at high levels.
