He did sorta say that PHB is the stuff we're going off of except for feats. But I'd think he'd be willing to make an exception here, as he did for a few other things Non-Lawful Good Paladins.

Where is Devoted Performer? It doesn't appear to be on the d20 SRD which, last I checked, is pretty much the only source we can use.

...you did read Devoted Performer and what it says regarding that, yes?
wut

Where's Devoted Performer? Is it in one of those PDFs you linked?

I can't really download any PDFs at the moment, I have this crappy satellite internet and our usage went through the roof after my sister started using Snapchat and I accidentally pulled open the Bay12's Desktops thread.

I gotta save my usage for DF2014, see. Anyway, the net effect is that one of the reasons I wanted to restrict to PHB was because I didn't think it would be very beneficial for me to download an entire bandwidth-eating sourcebook for one or two classes or feats.

I don't plan to multi-class, but I'm somewhat curious about something. If I multiclassed to Wizard or Sorceror, are my daily spells shared or split between divine and arcane?

Also, in regards to my Scribe Scroll thing: Say I wanted to scribe a scroll of Cure Light Wounds. That costs 1x1x25 [Level of Spell, Caster Level, Scroll] so that's 25*[1/25] = 1xp for me to scribe it at Level 1. NOW, after I level it would cost 2xp [1x2x25x(1/25)] to scribe yes?

BUT could I scribe it as a Level 1 caster [so instead of +2, it's +1] instead so as to not eat into my experience pool? I just sorta figured having a bunch of scrolls of Cure Light Wound would be useful at lower levels.

Quote from: d20 SRD
The character gains spells from all of his or her spellcasting classes and keeps a separate spell list for each class. If a spell’s effect is based on the class level of the caster, the player must keep track of which class’s spell list the character is casting the spell from.

Makes sense. Any information on the scroll thing?

I suppose. You would have to scribe it as a level 1 caster anyway, it's a spell cast at level 1. Catch: It actually costs 37 gp and 5 sp because you also have to buy materials that cost 1/2 the base price.

I linked one pdf, not multiple, but yes I did in fact give a link to Devoted Performer, I really wish you guys could just try and look these things up when I mention them, considering they're really easy to find. >.<

besides which, there's something called dndtools which means you don't really have to download anything at all.

And if I were already in possession of those materials [via actual gold buying] would I still have to pay the increased XP thing? If I understand that right.

[If I still have to pay the cost it comes out to 1.5 xp per scroll. Do you round up? Round down? Say the first scroll is 1 [or 2] and the second is 2 [or 1]?]

[I think that it's just 1 xp anyway.]

@ Rolepgeek: Meh, fine. I did say something about it being OK to use Complete ________ feats a while back anyway.

I just checked the feat.

Quote from: Da Feet
blah blah blah...

Benefit: You can creat a scroll [blah blah] scribing a scroll takes one day for each 1,000 gp in its base price. The base price of a scroll is its spell level x its caster level x 25 gp. To scribe a scroll, you must spend 1/25 of this base price in XP and use up raw materials costing one-half of this base price.

So... That means that I pay [.5x25]gp and spend [1/25xBase]xp? Or that I pay [.5x25]gp and spend [1/25x(Base+(.5x25))]? I think the former, but I just want to be sure.

I think the equation is

(spell level x caster level x 25) = X (Base Price)
(X x 1/25) = XP (Experience Points)
(X x 1/2) = BC (Bonus Price)
(BC + X) = FP (Full Price)

Therefore

(1 x 1 x 25) = 25 = Base Cost
(25 x 1/25) = 1 = Experience Points
(25 x 1/2) = 12.5 = Bonus Cost
(25 + 12.5) = 37.5 = Full Price

So full cost is 37.5 gp and 1 xp point.

There we go! That's what I wanted to know for sure. Because I'm thinking that having some extra scrolls around would be helpful for when Sacha and Darwyn run out of heal stuff.

Uh...I know I'm sorta late - was busy today too - but I added Oleg's opinions on Sacha and Beolas to my sheet. Just in case anybody wanted to know.

Hm, I like how he views Sacha. Everyone else is using a first person view of the others. I think I shall do the same. Should be more fun I think.

Will be editing that momentarily...

AND done...
