Hello! I download Masterwork yesterday and tried it out today, my problem is that whenever I start DF the menu is not visible, all I see is the background and the little blue bit on the top where the FPS are usually at, the menu, frame rate and everything except the background the blue bit are invisible, I think it may be a problem with the font, please help me!

it sounds like df itself, not the gui or anything as OP states fps not showing while the gui has no fps counter

still i have no idea what's wrong

can you post which OS and game version (such as 5.0X)?  and have you tried a clean install or anything you have done to try to fix it?

I'm playing on Windows 7, Masterwork V.5.10. if what you mean by clean install is unpack from the winrar file, then yes I have.
Also, I've just tried it out on vanilla DF and it works so I'm sure its probably a problem with the fonts on Masterwork.

Try disabling rendermax, trutype, Item graphics, and any other graphical features, and setting printmode to 2d

Tried disabling rendermax, trutype, item graphics and it didn't work, then I noticed you also said to set th printmode to 2nd, tried it and it worked! thanks bud!
