((I bet that if that happens, the entire group would get caught in the fire as well.))

"Tower of Stones... Should be fun."

Y-yeah, that sounds the least f-f-flammable.

((Now watch "The Tower of Stones" actually be a giant oak on top of a coal mesa))

And so it was decided, by a majority vote, that Tower of Stones would be their destination! And so the hearty group set off, to the south-east, on their brilliant quest to reach the Tower of Stones, a location apparently surrounded in plains and savannah. At the moment, however, they were submerged deep in a forest. Satner goes off to chop some trees, and returns with a rather large stock of firewood. Just as you're preparing to light it, however, you find yourself surrounded by the noises of large things shifting about. Suddenly, a massive tree looking over your campsite twists, sending a large branch towards you! You all manage to duck under this beam, but the tree is not done. Two more trees with the exact same color bark start attacking as well. You recognize the trees as Witchwood, a sentient variety of tree that senses when it's brethren have been damaged, and will fight to avenge them. Prepare yourself for battle!

Curse a tree with insanity!
1: You try, but it doesn't work. A startled squirrel sitting in a nearby tree suddenly starts flinging itself around and hitting its head on things. Poor animal.4

"Burn."

Beam of Heat these odious ents.
4: You ignite one of them, and burn a severe hole into its trunk. After a few more feeble movements, it stops moving at all.

Burn one with a beam of lightning.
6: Once again, you get flung backwards as a powerful explosion appears in your hands. You thud into a tree and lose consciousness, but are otherwise alright. Your bolt seems to have hit an already dead witchwood, unfortunately.

Find metal. Slicey dicey trees with it.
2: Your search for sharp metals is fruitless. You consider using a conjuring spell and your ways with metals to conjure some sort of axe or piece of armor to fight with.

Stay out of sight and heal anyone who gets injured
1: You try to stay out of sight, but one rivets its attention on you, and swings a branch down at you quickly.

Quote from: Witchwood 1
Thwack the one trying to hide with a large branch.
6: It slams its branch into the ground so hard that it snaps and gets impaled in the ground. It moans in pain, and realizes that it missed its original target.

Quote from: Witchwood 3
Try to strangle the one with the fire beam with vines.
4: Thick vines come down and wrap themselves around Nix (NRDL), beginning to choke him. He will need assistance.

Try to curse myself into a lycanthrope, pray I don't turn into a ordinary wolf like last time, tear apart the vines around Nix's throat.
3: You try, but all you manage to become is a wolf. Oh well. You do tear apart most of the vines, though.

((Nix is NRDL.))

Wake up.

((Edit: Forgot I was unconscious.))
2: You mutter in your sleep, and roll over a few times.

Coat myself with fire.
5: You concentrate and cast a self-fire spell, and you are immediately cloaked in burning flames. What was left of the vines retreats, and from somewhere inside you comes a maniacal laugh, and you advance, cracking your knuckles. Payback time.

Conjure an axe. Slicey dicey trees.
3: You conjure a small, copper hatchet, and start hacking away at one of the trees. It seems only slightly damaged, and grumpily flicks a small branch at you.

Buff self with shadow cloaking, look for weak points in the ents.
2: Once again you fail, but the trees seem to have lost interest in you, for the most part. A few vines slap your face before concentrating on attacking the other wizards.

Quote from: Witchwood 1
Whip the group with vines.
2: It tries, but its vines immediately catch fire because of Nix's cloak of flames, and it instantly snatches back its vines in fear. It seems to be reconsidering attacking the group.

Quote from: Witchwood 3
Try to slowly crawl away from the combat.
1: It tries to rip its roots up from the ground and crawl away, but it succeeds only in causing itself to fall over. It's still alive, but it's not going to be fighting you any time soon.
