"Not just yet; Using a trap to destroy them would be rather pointless if whatever is raising them remains, and we may well discover some method for dealing with the whole lot at once in the ruins. If there are stragglers after we are done there, then it might be worthwhile."

"8 gold is hardly a steep price, even if it only serves to distract them for a few moments, I think."

I'd say it would be better to destroy them than any attempt to control them. If they have a living maker, he'd be able to take back control easily." It was pretty obvious to Malkor that Chaika was some flavor of necromancer, a fact which was...uncomfortable to him.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

(( What tipped him off? Was it the coffin? It was the coffin, wasn't it. ))

Chaika shook her head. "Worth try. Destruction unneeded. Strong mind. Can control.

Beside. If controlled, can destroy, no resistance. Easier."

((umm, you won't be able to command ANY undead at level 1, unless they are 1/2 HD rat skeletons or something. Whereas, I CAN destroy undead at level 1, thanks to Greater Turning from the Sun domain.))

((Ah yeah. Misremembered it as hit dice equal to character level, rather than twice character levels than hit dice. Ah well. Next level. ))

((Quick question: Will you allow Weapons of Legacy? I've never really been able to get in a weapon of legacy into any game I've played(the one game I did died soon after), and it's not too unbalancing; it's basically create-your-own artifact, and the abilities unlock over time with skill tradeoffs. I can shoot you a source link if you want.))

((It seems interesting and fairly balanced; I'll allow it. Since the RP posts have slowed down, I take it you guys are ready to head out?))

"Perhaps it is not, for you; I myself have little gold remaining after recent... expenditures. Still, I would advise not making use of such a trap until after we explore futher; If these undead are guided by a controller, then destroying them serves little purpose while the source remains, and such a trap would alert the controller of organised attempts to oppose them. If the undead are not united by a guiding power, then they likely pose little threat so long as their attention is not drawn, and such a trap, while certainly convenient to aid in dealing with them, is not an immediate necessity."

"Agreed. I say we scout the situation first. Do we need to make a last minute shopping trip, or are we good to go?"

Ishmael shrugs.
"As stated, I have little gold remaining. Not enough to purchase anything useful, most likely."

Saeberth nods, and speaks some of the rare words that leave his mouth.

"I am ready."

((Sorry I missed so much, DF and the like.))
