Needless to say, I was very tempted to have Tulwor talk like Mortus. Like father, like son. But in the end, Bellian-Scottish was not for me.

I try to give my characters a distinctive speaking style without going into typing accents.

Those will come out with the map and the mechanics. Sometime Sunday or Monday I suspect.

These gods' capability for divine conflict seems good when we already seem to be closing a fistfight on the Galley over things none of us has even seen.

Boons are ready.

As for the new stats on the sheet, Prayer Energy is like EXP, and combat power is used both to determine one's ability to win a fight, and to escape or survive the consequences should one end up losing anyway. Again, created gods start stronger than the birthed ones, but that should even out as turns run on and their one less action a round starts eating away on em.

Update: Got dragged to a party unexpectedly yesterday. Will still try to get things started tonight, but can't promise. Right now I have a good chunk of free time at school and on the bus, but I can't access the game map on my chromebook.

I'll do Ketemos' questions on the game thread for now.

I modified one of the reserved posts on the game thread to contain some information on the mechanics/setting.

Reading it will somewhat spoil the introductory turn, so you may want to wait until that goes up before you peek. Let me know if anything is confusing or unclear.

I find it odd you can fail to attack someone, combat not even starting.
"I would slay you, puny mortal... but I guess I don't feel like it?"

For the most part, its more you not being able to find them. You shouldn't fail to fight a standing army, or a giant rampaging monster, but a single hero, sneaky god, smaller beast, or guerrilla force might be tougher to single out for a straight battle.

You are not Omniscient, god or not. In one setting, I like what they do in that they only know what their children know(their children being called 'Exalted' or 'Godborn', not 'demigods', for an idea of their power). Thus, simply by avoiding the Exalted(easily recognizable, with bright golden eyes), you can avoid the notice of the gods, in most cases/ways.

I kind of don't want to ask questions because they might end up covered by the introductory turn anyway, but:

-How does transit work for Interactions? Are we just assumed to be able to automatically get anywhere reasonable to do things, and if so what counts as reasonable in this case? Do we have a set location per turn, or could we use multiple Interactions that require wildly different locales?

-I'm assuming more ambitious actions will be represented by larger penalties to their success rates? If so, could I get a vague estimate on likely mortal alteration brackets?

-How does artifact creation work? More generally, how do actions work that in theory ought to require raw materials or other considerations? If I wanted to make a ship, for instance, would I need to get the lumber for it first, or would that be a part of the creation action?

-Do Prodigies eventually mature into a different sort of actor?

So what would an average person's power be, to give me a sense of scale in combat strength?
