"Holy carp!  That bat is the size of a freaking house!"

Run inside the ship to take cover, and search for weapons while I'm in there.

Prepare to bat away the bat with my pipe, as though it was a bat.

(No one's had a successful roll to turn on the sonar yet)

Enter the ship and build a sword with available items.
(heads, success)
You scurry back to the tool closet and start tearing your way through crates. You find a massive pair of electric bolt-cutters and split them, creating a heavy blade.

Split my personality so that I am both Baldwin and Deus!
(heads, success)
You feel as if you've wounded yourself somehow, but there are 2 voices in your head! The whimpering Baldwin, and the overbearing Deus.

"Holy carp!  That bat is the size of a freaking house!"

Run inside the ship to take cover, and search for weapons while I'm in there.
(tails, failure)
You scrambe back inside, but are unable to find any weapons.

Prepare to bat away the bat with my pipe, as though it was a bat.
(heads, success)
You take a firm stance, though you don't know how much good it will do against an enemy that you cannot see and is the size of a ship.
You hear scrabbling and enormous wingbeats from several directions. The shrieks grow more numerous.

Search for repair manual.
(tails, failure)
So much of the data in this system is damaged. You wonder if it might have something to do with the hardware.
Another mind is downloaded into you. Yes, you can feel it now, definitely the hardware.

Hearing the screech of the bat, rip off one of the bristles to use as a weapon.

Go outside so that I can absorb some pathetic bat souls! (Deus) ((I'll tell you who's in control each turn. Is that OK?))

Concentrate soul energy, Psycho-kinetically begin systematic repair of all systems, if this fails, wait patiently for more souls, then repeat.

Sonic screech!
(tails, failure)
Your screeching allows the nearest bat to pinpoint your position. You hear something land on the stone nearby and a scratching sound comes towards you.

Hearing the screech of the bat, rip off one of the bristles to use as a weapon.
(tails, failure)
It's firmly attached and not very sharp in the first place.

Go outside so that I can absorb some pathetic bat souls! (Deus) ((I'll tell you who's in control each turn. Is that OK?))
(tails, failure) You exit the ship just in time to see an enormous bat face come into view of the flashlights. You run up to it and grab onto one of its teeth. Unfortunately, it seems you can only absorb souls from bodies similar to yours.

Turn the sonar on.
(heads, success)
You turn on the Sonar, with the pulse on medium. It seems there are 5 bats within 250 meters of the ship, and each seems about 30-40 meters wide. About 110 meters up the slope from the ship, the ground rises sharply into a cliff.

Concentrate soul energy, Psycho-kinetically begin systematic repair of all systems, if this fails, wait patiently for more souls, then repeat.
(tails, failure)
As another soul enters your being, you realize that with a few more, you'd have the power to restore this ship to full working order, but it would cost you much of your own soul. As you noticed earlier, this ship is alive somehow, yet damaged, and now you can almost understand what it is. You could save it and everyone bound to it, but reduce yourself to a mere mortal again.

Might the bats be, perhaps, other ships?  Might our ship, perhaps, be another bat?

We've got sonar.  We've got fur (the bristles).  Our ship is alive.  We don't know the exterior well enough to know if our ship has bat-like wings, but we might.

Fix the ship!

Try to rip the tooth out then go back inside. (Deus then Baldwin.)

See if the ship has any weapons installed.  If it does, turn them on.
