There box seems part of a large, heavily protected data core, located somewhere under the floor in the cockpit.

You place the shards of plastic back over the wound. Blood still seems to be oozing out, but at a much slower rate. You feel a slight buzzing sensation in your whole body.

Ooh, time for some biological information! Open the boxes.

You open the boxes, seeing them full of the same "medical" canisters. Opening one of them, you find small bottles labeled "adhesive," a soldering iron, many sheets of plasticky material in various sizes, and an opaque, hexagonal cylinder vial labeled "for dismemberment only." You also find a short list of instructions etched into the bottom of the capsule:
"If necessary, fill this container with blood"

You notice a small nozzle on the wall of the closet with a sticky, magenta residue around it. There's a button next to it labeled "blood."

You fail to find any recognizable entertainment devices or objects amongst the stuff strewn about the cockpit.

You open the other door on the wall with the medical closet. Another featureless figure falls out, evidently having been leaning against the door. Or, it would be featureless aside from the gaping hole through it's torso. You step aside as it falls to the floor, completely motionless but mostly rigid. On the floor of the closet is a large stain of magenta and a couple of fat, gun-like objects labeled "FLARE."

The plastic on your hand, while soft, doesn't seem pliable enough to reshape into a spike, and probably wouldn't be very sharp. Plus, as you squeeze your hand, you feel something hard, like bone, inside.

You pick up one of the flareguns from the dried magenta pool. Looking in the closet, you find a discharged flare, almost entirely coated in sticky magenta residue, and a pair of pliers.
