I think that was kinda done when they more or less ported it into SC2. There's custom maps there, think there's even a campaign of sorts, with pretty much all the races and units from 3+FT.

Even so, a HD remake (which I don't think is strictly needed since WC3 is one of those games that hasn't aged a day since it came out) isn't really a new game, just replaying the old in a shiny new coat.

So uhh, how did this fly under everyones radar again?

From the video description I'm getting a feeling it's going to be some sort of conquistadors/X-com type of thing with turn based combat and party managment while exploring and hunting for tech.

Well it's unlisted for some reason, so I'm not sure if an official reveal was made or anything, but it was uploaded a month ago. No idea what they're up to tbh.

I was trying to come up with a witty metaphor but concepts fail me.  This is the very epitome of a particular kind of absurdity.

To be fair, PETA critiquing 40k is like space marines wearing fur over their armor.

The thing that always gave met a WTF moment about PETA and 40K was that they looked at 40k and though to complain about fur on armor? What about simple servitors made from animals? What about genetically modified and augmented horses used as war beasts? (just as two examples out of many)
