So I came down with the flu the week I was going to go buy the skulls, and viral tonsilitis the week after, so I got somewhat delayed. But I finally got them on Saturday and have been tinkering with them and seeing what can be wedged together.

Currently my plan is to use the WHF Nagash's undead angel-thing skull as a torso, with a skeleton ribcage wedged into the back to bulk it out and provide a neck. I'll use chunks of skeleton horse legs for upper arms, pieces of decorative arm/leg bones for the forearms and ghoul hands for... well hands. Orc skulls for shoulderpads and a bloodletter skull for a head.

The problem is the lower body. Legs are easy enough, more horse bones would do, they even come with hooves that would make for good feet. The problem is the pelvis. I might need to figure out some kind of horrible skull pelvis to attach legs to, or resort to a ghostly lower body made from spirit hosts.

That sounds like quite the endeavor! I wonder though, won't the leg area be kinda fragile if you use small individual parts like that, instead of a single solid leg piece for each leg?

I would think you'd definitely want to pin it, by which I mean having a rod running through each leg and drilling the appropriate skulls/skull clusters onto it.

Pinning might be difficult, the pieces I'm looking at for legs and waist are thin rods or flat planes. What I would normally do is make sure they fit at an angle that maximizes the glueing surface, which is easy for legs, harder for a pelvis made of skulls.

I might be able to use a beastman skull as a pelvis, the horns have about the right kind of shape for an oddly angled socket joint.

Was going to say, a huge skull diaper as the entire pelvis would seem like the easiest solution.

Alternatively you could cut a rod to shape and get it secured to the legs and bottom of the torso to the general width you want the hips to be, then build its shape out with green stuff and finally, moar skullz.

In other news, the latest WH40K global campaign, 'Galaxy in Flames: Fate of Konor' is nearing the end of week 6. It's about the Death Guard, led by the Daemon Primarch Mortar-mon assaulting the Megablue's section of the galaxy, in his pissing match with Rowboat Girlyman.
