Hello there, I have a question for WH40K fans: Why Matt Ward is so hated? I'm not gonna defend him or debate since I'm not a WH40K fan, but I've heard that he turned Ultramarines to "Mary Sue Order", but I don't know anything more expect that.

The rulebooks he wrote were horribly unbalanced, and he murdered the fluff. He also wrote weird, mysognyist-feeling stuff like Grey Knights slaughtering Sisters of Battle to use their blood.

The tragic thing is, before he got his grubby handses on them, they weren't blandy blanderson smurfs, they were a rather badass Roman-inspired chapter. I mean, more so than the rest of the Space Marines. Ave Imperator, SPQI, the noble patina of the original fascists as opposed to the stinky grime of inferior derivative fascists, all that jazz.
