Well the "rumors" are that a similar thing was already done to the vespids.

The Vespids didn't have the Hive Mind cramming a psychic will stronger than the Inmaterium itself tho.

Or did they?!

I'm not saying the vespids are actually just what the tau are showing of a suborned splinter fleet, but...

The Imperium are already kicking themselves for not exterminating them while they had the chance, such a twist would make Emprah himself jolt a few moudly bones into self kicking action.

Plenty of ways around that. Build drones specifically to snipe synapse creatures, bribe them with food, broadcast a false hivemind signal.

That first part is what everyone wants to do anyway and turns out to be still rather hard to do. Bribing Tyranids with food when you are food is a...poor idea, to say the least, and as I said before, Hive Mind signal is a bit hard to drown out with one of your own.

I like the idea of a spess mehreen with a bag of dog hideous space dinosaur insect treats trying to lure a hive tyrant into a cage. Or perhaps a giant jam jar, air holes in the lid and all.

If the Dark Eldar enshrouded are anything to go by, creating tyranids is as easy as cloning, it's creating tyranids that don't get commanded by the hive mind as soon as they show up that's the problem

Got a lot of details still to do and a lot of shading/highlighting needed on his robe. Plus I need to clean up the yellow bits on him a bit.

Have just polished off my Tau Ghostkeel.

Noticing now that I've been lax on my mould-lines.

Just have to do the drones next, and honestly still not sure if I picked the right color scheme for this army.

But I bought most of it from a friend for an easy $100 and his painting is truly godawful. So anything is better really.

Ghosthelms are a pretty darn important piece of wargear, gameplay-wise.

Weathering was never my forte. I'm always terrified of making it slightly too large and having to do it all over again.
It's why I'm really glad to have moved on from having to improv the camo on my IG tanks.
