I've been having a hard time focusing on my Lord of Change lately, so I've been working on some Daemon Heralds instead.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Pretty happy with this Herald of Nurgle.

Also got a Herald of Tzeentch on a disc in the works.

Looking good. Nurglings are the cutest. What did you use on the rust effects for those bells?

The little bells are just brushed with a little Ryza Rust paint, the large bell was given a layer of Typhus Corrosion which I mopped up the excess of. It leaves a larger amount in the recesses around the raised surfaces and less elsewhere.

Are leman russes with subatomic charges awesome?
Woo, the question for me!

"Firing shells that contain a sub-atomic core, the eradicator nova cannon is especially useful during sieges and urban warfare.
Though it lacks the punch of more conventional ordnance, the shockwave produced by its shells' detonation is impossible to hide from, pulping even the most dug in infantry."

On table their firing profile has less strength and armor than a standard battle cannon shell, but ignores cover.
(So I would say no. I would prefer a Nuke Russ. Or a DEATHSTRIKE.)

(Or a DEATHSTRIKE.)
I was thinking of setting up an online Deathstrike service, one day, where Wh40k players could request an missile onto their table, and I would provide something like a photo of the thing firing with a timestamp or something.
Except I think it doesn't work like that anymore and Deathstrike has maximum range now, though, thanks to unbound lists you can have like 15 of them at 2k points. ;-;

Oh it still is unlimited? I remember reading that it apparently weren't, but then it's cool.

It's Basilisks which have a maximum range now, so you can *Only* set up on one of the big tables at warhammer world and bombard people 20 yards away

regarding ETTSD: Its pretty different from the rest, but Rogal Dorn's explanation of why everyone thinks he's dead cracked me up.

"But didn't you die?!"
No.
"Then... what happened to you?"
I Died.

...

But Not Really.

FTFY but holy crap the exaggeration was surprisingly close. Max range 240"

Long range weapons in tabletop games are always vaguely hilarious.

"Alright, pass me the mortar template-"

"You don't have any mortars!"

"-they're in the box at the back."

Well I find it pretty dumb that basilisks Have to be attack-able. That is: squeezed onto a standard 48"-wide table, when their minimum range is 36".

Well, Tack, considering the way Skyrays are meant to be used in the fluff, and Seeker Missile ranges, would it be alright with you if I just had my dozen Skyrays on that table back there?

I find it unfair I can't just use orbital bombardment on the enemy army without deploying any troops myself.

I meant more that they should tone down the minimum range a tad. Minimum 12" would be groovy.

(That being said there is stuff in place for direct-fire, but then you've just got a bargain-bin leman russ.)

Perhaps it requires someone to 'Paint' the target
