Speaking of which, does anyone else find it utter bullshit that humans, a single planet of 'meh' psychic potential species, created the Chaos Gods via the Mongolian invasions, Roman Plagues/Black Plague, and whatever the hell made Tzeentch?

I mean, really. Eldar had to have had some plagues bigger than the Black Plague at some point in their history. They had a lot more history, after all.

Where do you get that the 3 were created specifically from Old Earth events?

It says that, Nurgle was from the Plague, Khorne was from the huge old roman/greek/mongolian wars, Tzeentch was from no idea. Slaanesh came from Japan came from the Eldar's huge orgies and depravity, but the other three are supposedly from humans.

At least, I'm pretty sure I remember reading that somewhere on 1d4chan.

Was the Emperor truly immortal? Maybe the only reason he lived as long as he did was because he used his psychic powers to keep himself alive, similar to how he's doing now on the Golden Throne.

Like most things about big E, difficult to absolutely know, but if recall it was stated somewhere that his massive psychic powers altered his genes in such a way that he wouldn't die of old age.

Though on the Golden Throne he's basically only sustained by the sacrifice of around a thousand psykers a day.

I don't remember when he made his deal with the Chaos Gods. Certainly between Old Earth and Pre-Unity Terra. That'd still make him thousands of years old. If you believe he's essentially a construct of Warp sorcery of the highest order, I'd imagine age to be a petty concern. It's known that he used glamor to make himself appear as the dude in armor radiating golden light. His real form is much simpler and humbler, and who knows, maybe showed his real age a lot more.
