At the same time, there's at least one example of servitor programing coming undone, though this could simply be an outlier.

The answer, as with everything in 40k, is 'whatever you think'.

I'm pretty sure there's another Chaos God out there who feeds off of frustration and longing for improvement, and is the God of 'Canon'.

That'd be Tzneetch.

No, Tzeentch is hope.

There is far too much despair in the fandom for him to feed off of it. I mean the sort of hopeless longing born from knowing that nothing is going to change.

Plus, there's enough to feed an entirely separate Chaos God. They also gain energy from the power of authors rolling in graves.

Well the frustration and wanting things to change would be Tzneetch, since that inherently comes with a will to change the scenario, which is all he needs.
Everything else is Nurgle though, who's actually the most powerful chaos god because of the frozen timeline :P

I thought it was Khorne, what with there being only war and all.

Then again, Retconjurers are the domain of Tzeentch...

As usual, Slaanesh is left out except for the odd fetish-fuel and horribly spawned 'canon'.

Slaanesh gets all the eldar, so that's something. And I've seen much more Slaneeshi cults in various stories than Tzeenthian.

The thing about Slaanesh is that it only really gets traction in highly advanced societies that are at peace for a long period of time so the people in them can start spending their time on the pointless shit that Slaanesh enjoys - it started after all with the decadence of the Eldar empire, which had no one to fight. That's kinda also why Khorne and it are at odds, since if the blood god had his way everyone would be fighting all the time.

But yeah in story Khorne is the strongest because of all the fightan but in meta terms since nothing ever fucking happens in 40k Nurgle is king of all.

I think the emotional power increases their power in the warp, which increases their domain, but then the other three start ganging up on them until the domain shrinks again.
So it's a sort of balance in chaos, cheese aside.

Thats what the "great game" is all about anyway, chaos gods doing the will of GWS and not allowing anything interesting to happen under the excuse of "if one chaos god wins, then chaos will poof from existence!!1", which doesnt exactly make sense, since there was a time in which nurgle was the only chaos god, supposedly :v

Yeah, but when Nurgle was the only Chaos god, he wasn't the near-omnipotent god of the 41st Millenium. I think that if he were to become the sole Chaos god now, (or any of the other three) then shit would happen because they're all hopped up on the grimdark.

Plus, if the other gods are like Slaneesh then they kinda retroactively started existing before they started to exist once they poofed into existance. Or something, time stuff is really wonky.

I think the birth of slaanesh had echoes before it happened, but it could've just been preshocks to an earthquake.
