Yes, you are the perfect example. You possess all the powers of a pen! This man right here, is mightier then many swords.

Considering I still have no idea what that is, and from what I've gathered, wouldn't be interested in it anyways, no.

SAO is quite literally the anime version of the title up there. And the character poisons the main protagonist and some other dude and stabs them repeatedly. And I guess I am just speakin without thinking :u

You're talking 'bout Kuradeel, right? Disliked the bastard. It was implied he intended to do various... impleasantries to Asuna, and considering how she reacted when he gave the stereotypical 'I'll never do it again!' villain speech, that is to say, spare him, he might have succeeded.

Not typing to be rude, but is backstory even necessary for this?  :P
Considering we're being stuck into a game with fictional characters that are just sort of... Generated.
And know little about the game world so far.

And, how many points do we have to distribute?

Meh. Backstory helps give characters a bit more life, so to speak.
Also, yes, any race. They're purely cosmetic, and mostly do nothing, but still. Some people want to look like orcs or something.

I'm tempted to pull a copout and put "Will be revealed in game, beoch!", so I can actually have time to write it between planning a game, trying to recreate the notes for the one I'm running, and working on the backstories of three other characters*.

*Technically more, but the rest fall under "planning a game".

Back story's for the game character, right? Not the real person? Because there's not much point making one when if you fail, you die. Which makes those revival items we were talking about kinda weird, because... How're you gonna bring back a dead person? Unless their body is permanently dead, but there's a backup of their mind stored somehow?

My logic needs not be explained, foolish mortal!
Actually, it's quite simple. They don't die until the game ends.
