Is armor a skill? As in light/medium/heavy.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Yes. Yes it is. :p.
So, posting the character sheets in a couple of minutes, although it could be longer.
I was not aware that "couple" and "minutes" now meant "several" and "hours".
Mhmm.
I went there.

Armor probably isn't a skill in this, it requires no skills to wear something just the physical strength to endure it's weight.

Dwarf Fortress and Dark Souls disagree.
Actually, I kind of like the ideas of them being skills.
Not a "you can't use them", but penalties to using them if you aren't skilled.

Dark Souls doesn't have an armor skill.

Dark Souls doesn't have an armor skill.
It doesn't have weapon skills either, but both have stat requirements.  :-\
I don't think we have a strength stat in this, do we?
So the only option is to make it a skill, or let anyone use any armor.

Yes which just means needing the strength to do it. It'd be a waste of skill slots to need 1 to learn how to get dressed.

Adding to the last one, that's absurd if we don't have a strength stat.
You'll have tiny, thin little characters decked out in the heaviest armor.

To avoid the ridiculousness... Skills.

More like how to move easily with the extra encumbrance and whatnot.

Not really I'm pretty sure things like agility, strength, endurance and so on will be stats. They're purely personal.
It's things like perception and charisma that won't be stats.

You don't need training to know how to move in something. You need a couple of hours to walk around in it and test it out. You'd effectively be devoting an entire skill to figuring out how to move in a pair of pants that a size to small.

I feel the same BUT this is the GMs time not yours, not mine's being spent to set up a game.
Now although there are some GMs that deserve that treatment it doesn't mean it's good to put out. For all we know he could just say "meh, let me just make it so overly simple and boring."

Let's also be honest in that there were ALOT of suggestions made and to incorporate things so they flow well takes time, thought, good writing ( I'm on my phone so auto correct is killing my grammar), and patience. Maybe tomorrow or by the weekend it'll be up. I'm sure the GM will also make a link to the actual game thread.

Things.
You realize I was joking, right? Blitz will realize I was joking as well - he refuses to believe I'm capable of being mean, which he has said several times.

On a side note, it's not so much pants a size too small as large pieces of metal that likely will restrict your movement, but whatever. I mean, sure, you can argue that light/medium armor wouldn't take one, but when you're basically a walking tank... You're gonna need some time to get used to it if you expect to dodge or twist so attacks glance off/don't wreck you, given the probable size of higher-tier enemies.
Then again, being a game, there's no point even bothering, as it's just more work for Blitz to describe what happens in a fight.

Again, I'm not saying you >can't< use it, just that whoever doesn't have the skill would get a penalty for using it somehow or just not get a bonus that someone that is gets.

I'd say heavy tank armor should require a skill. Knights needed practice to get used to how the armor altered their balance. However, I don't think we should have the DnD bullshit where the warrior gets a penalty because he doesn't know how to wear studded leather.

So...
I fell asleep randomly.
Yeah, this is normal. Actually, before I finish up the sheet, I'm going to have to acquire all those suggestions. Wasn't expecting the thread to get so big, you see.
