But Starburst Stream is still the most powerful skill in the game. I mean, seriously, he killed a Boss with it. Admittedly, it was damaged already, but still.

Take it off, change how it works/how much damage it does, or just take it off.

Or we could make it a rule that it can only be used against certain enemy bosses or dazed/stunned bosses.

The last would work, more like a "finisher" or something that, like you said, can only be used in a certain situation.

Or make it a team effort or something. As stereotypical as that is.

Or just include the side effect of it nearly killing you.

You have 0 defense while using it.

Zero defense and it's a must do finisher.

Example:

Pewd looking for the starburst stream against High Chief Dulo'ban the Orc. and. and. SHE GOES FOR IT!

But wait! Who's that?! It's the Cheifs #1 body gaurd coming in for.a.INTERVENTION taking down pewd who just wasn't looking!!!!!

This was written after i saw an old school WWF championship fight.

Well I'd just hit the guard as well it's a blitz assault I can't block or dodge but it doesn't make me blind.

Wherein lies the problem.
If you're gonna toss in something OP, make it single target, and once you've decided to do it, you must do it.

Otherwise, make it a team attack.

It's not OP. Once it starts all you can do is keep swinging until you win or until you die. When it was used kirito was out for 3 days almost dead after.

Well i kinda agree with Lyeos, you HAVE to understand that yes you can take yourself out of the fight if you do this at the wrong time.

Not dead but maybe incapacitated and then we either rescue you or...your dead with no coffin. Sorry but i'm a HUGE fan of risk vs reward.

We could also combine teamwork by having somone spot for you and take the hit while you continue your attack.

Bodygaurd hits me when i dove in while you take out the boss. I MAY die or be incapacitated but if we win everyone gets a health up (to be able to walk around type of health) and gets XP.

Well if it's a team attack it's not a skill, it's a bunch of people doing different things in the same area you can't have a team skill.

So?
Team attacks.
At least early on.
Better example.

Starburst would be done by one person BUT if someone has enough AP/lvl/trait/w.e they can "spot" you while you do that skill. It's still up to you and now that i think about it, spotting could be used for other general attacks to stop the enemy from countering or ambushing a fellow player.

You wouldn't really need anything to cover me. You'd just need to stand on my flanks and behind me so any enemies have to go through you first. Thats basically what the switch system was in SAO.

People or entire squads covering for each other constantly.

:-\ With all of your talk of equality, everyone is going to have to get a relatively OP move to use for that to stay true. Otherwise, it's just a single character stealing the spotlight and being the big hero.

I have no problems with everyone getting these skills as long as they all have balanced pit falls equal to star burst streams which leaves you basically helpless if you use it to fast the enemy will kill you before you can kill it.
