That could work, I guess. That would mean that eventually, sneezing could become a skill. Also, classes would essentially just be bundles of equipment. And maybe a starting skill or 2 of some sort, relevant to the class.

Attacking people with kitchen implements is far too normal.

I thought classes were already going to just be bundles of equipment?

Nah, that's basically just the other thread, innit?
Well, from what Zanzetkuken has told me today, having this be "You are stuck in an MMO" would be fairly similar to the other game, but with different people. And a more rigid stats system.

On the other hand, just making up an awesome character would make it just an RPG, without the "stuck" part.

I'm a fan of "real RP," since working with one's own strength's and weaknesses in a fantastic situation is fun, but if we want to be distinct, creating a "real world" character who then gets transplanted into the MMO setting might be the best choice.

Kind of. I'm currently debating whether or not we should even have a skill cap of 'pick 10 skills' or something along those lines. I was thinking more 'pick 5 combat skills, 5 support skills, and unlimited non-combat/support skills'.

Anyone remember Roll to Roll to Dodge?

Note that you don't necessarily need to come up with a list of skills. When people create their characters, they can just follow the guidelines and submit their skills for GM approval.

I am aware of that. I'm simply wondering whether or not I should use a skill cap.

... Yes, to begin with?
Maybe pay to learn new ones later.
Or something.

Maybe pay for more skill slots, instead of paying for new skills.

Or both.
Or gaining new skill slots upon leveling up X times.

Leveling X times per slot sounds good, as people would have to get more experience to learn more skills.

My character will be designed off me for this. Horah for having a dad who wanted a son.

Fabulous. On an unrelated note, a PMD RP Interest Check is up.
So, we're going with the Level X times= 1 additional skill slot? Okay, cool.
So, we going with the Game style skills, where doing something often enough causes it to become a skill, or are we going with the 'Players submit in-game skills on Charrie Sheet, GM either approves or rejects'?

Well the first works better if your aiming to make it feel like it's real people stuck in the game as opposed to action heroes.

I didn't get a PM?
